What is the Quadrathlon?
Each young athlete competes in four individual events with a sprint, a middle distance, a jump and a throw receiving points for each performance. These points are added up and the top three athletes in each age group receive winners and runners up awards.
These principles support Long Term Athlete Development guidelines and whilst there will be event winners, the DASH Quadrathlon concept promotes an active and healthy lifestyle in a compact and exciting afternoon of Track & Field.
Who can take part?
The event is open to all athletes from Under 9’s to Under 15’s with the minimum age being 7 (on the day). At under 9's and under 11's all athletes must compete in the four events of the Quadrathlon and at under 13's and under 15's we allow those who wish to compete in individual events to do so if they want to but at a higher cost.
PLEASE NOTE - ATHLETES MUST ENTER IN ADVANCE – Deadline – Monday JUNE 14th
Where and When is the Quadrathlon?
The Event will be held at Sportcity Regional Athletics Arena, Manchester at 11.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday June 27th 2100. Previously attracting large numbers of high quality junior athletes, the DASH Quadrathlon again aims for a good turnout from a wide geographical area allowing an exciting and entertaining competition for Athletes, Spectators and Officials.
