The WebAds programme enables registered ClubNet Clubs to earn money by placing an advertising banner on their club website.
Together, ClubNet's network of participating clubs provides a scale that individual clubs are unable to achieve. This increases the value of the advertising space for clubs.
Of course, clubs with existing sponsorship or advertising agreements are free to continue to display those adverts too. WebAds is intended to add to the revenue that clubs earn, and not to replace existing sources of income.
We source the advertisers who will appear on your site for you - we take care to vet the advertisers first, to ensure that they are appropriate.
You only have to place the advert once by adding some simple html code to your website - after that, your site will automatically display relevant ads from a selection of suitable advertisers. There is guidance for any users not familiar with html, so don't worry!
Four sizes of the ad are now available:
See the banner size guide (see "Useful Info" in the top right of the page), or click here to view some examples of WebAds. The Leaderboard is ideal for the top of every page on your site, and the Skyscraper works well down the left or right side of each page. You can mix different sizes and different ads on your website to suit the layout of your web pages. Remember, the more ads you display, the more you can earn.

Yes, provided your website enables you to add html code to your site. Most do, but if you aren't sure, give your website provider a call or drop them an email to find out.
No. The ads on the site when you take the free site cover our costs in supplying and hosting your site for you. However, you can add extra ads under the WebAds programme if you wish.
You need to apply for the WebAds programme and follow the instructions to place the ads on your site. Once you have upgraded your site, you'll be able to remove the ads which came with the site and which don't earn the club any money. Then, when you're set up with WebAd, you can add them to your site and start earning money.
How long's a piece of string?! WebAds earn you money according to the number of "impressions" of the adverts on your site. An impressions is counted each time the ad is displayed on the page. If you generate lots of traffic, and have several ads on every page of your site, you'll earn much more than a site which has a low level of traffic and only one ad on one page of the site. Earnings can vary from a few pennies each month to tens of pounds.
Simple:
No. We have a fair use policy to ensure that only genuine traffic on your website earns money, and we won't pay clubs who abuse the system. Our software can detect usage which contravenes the fair use policy.
